Introduction

Gordon & Macphail’s Connoisseurs Choice is an ever-changing collection of unique perspectives on distilleries own bottlings, non-chill-filtered single cask and small batch expressions bottled at cask strength exceptional one-offs.

Matured in refill American Hogshead barrels. Bottled in 1990. Only 206 bottles released.

Nose – Notes of ripe banana and smooth toffee open into pear candies with delicate notes of sugared violets. Waxy lemon aromas appear and fuse with marzipan. Soft leather undertones add depth.

Palate – Creamy; fresh mango and papaya pairs with sticky brown sugar flavours . Roasted hazelnut undertones transform into vibrant pink grapefruit with a delicate nuances of vanilla crme brle.

Finish – Lingering liquorice and walnut notes with an herbal edge.
