Introduction

Lochlea’s 5 year old is a limited release. It is a blend of whiskies matured in various casks such as:- first-fill Bourbon, first-fill Oloroso Sherry, double matured Oloroso Sherry, double matured PX Sherry.

Tasting notes – Opening with brown sugar and baked pineapple, the rich cake-like notes of the nose give way to citrus zest and candied pear crumble on the palate. Tangy orange peel slowly melts into sumptuous caramel on the finish, accompanied by hints of black pepper, rose petals and leather.
