Limeburners Port Cask Australian Single Malt Whisky 700ml (ABV 43%)

Introduction

Rich and smooth, Port Cask 43% is a core range Limeburners expression exhibiting the decadent result of spending time in Australian Port Casks. This whisky was first aged in ex-bourbon American oak before maturing further in a Port cask. Prior to bottling, this whisky is hydrated with pure water to bring it to an approachable 43%.

The result is an exceptionally smooth and morish whisky, tasting of caramelised port wine raisins, stewed plums, and fresh nutmeg.

The average age of this product is 5 to 8 years.

Nose – Poached pears, grated cinnamon and nutmeg, caramelised port wine raisins, tobacco

Palate – Warm caramel with quince, stewed plums, fresh nutmeg, clove

Finish – Well rounded with residual sweetness
