Introduction

This Single Malt is the 14th annual release of the Octomore series. The 14.2 edition is matured in Oloroso and Amaron casks for 4 years, then finished in Pauillac wine casks for 1 year.

Nose – Notes of leather, prunes, and red currants with toasted oak, cinnamon, green apple, and black pepper. Undertones of smoke, red fruits, malt, and porridge. Dry, brooding peat smoke with hints of burnt heather and subtle pipe tobacco from oak.

Palate – There is a distinct European oak flavor with a hint of dryness and a balanced blend of wood spices, smoked oak, and roasted coffee. It also features a touch of barbeque sweetness, black pepper, rich fruit cake, and dried fruits, with a drop of water enhancing the smoky and fruity notes from the wine casks.

Finish – Smoked malt, smouldering oak and sea salt settle on the finish as Octomore’s signature earthy smoke lingers.
